Collage video is the place for fitness videos. They have a variety of workout videos to choose from in all different categories, such as pilates, kickboxing, yoga, dance, ballet, and many more. The best thing about their site is that they are so informative about every video, so you know exactly what kind of video you are purchasing.
Collage video was very generous and sent me three videos to try out. The fitness videos that I chose are Jazzercise: Burlesque, Xtend Barre Lean and Chiseled, and Dance Off The Inches Country Line Dance Party. I chose all dance videos, because I thought this genre would be fun and keep me motivated.
The first video that I tried was Jazzercise: Burlesque. This workout includes aerobics and toning. The level is considered intermediate. The video consists of a 5 minute warm up, 31 minutes of floor aerobics, 4 minutes of toning, and 5 minutes of stretching. The total workout is 45 minutes.
I found that the moves weren't all that challenging, but they could be hard to keep up with because the workout was mostly fast paced. The pace will get your heart rate up, but I personally didn't work up much of a sweat. The workout overall was fun, the instructors wore cute pink outfits, and best of all the workout contains good music that you will enjoy; such as "I'm a Slave 4 U", "Don't Cha", "On The Floor", and "Lady Marmalade".
The next video I tried was Dance Off The Inches Country Line Dance Party. I chose this video because I really wanted a line dancing video, and this one had the highest rating on their site. I used to go to a country bar that had line dancing, and it looked so much fun, but I never did it because I didn't know the moves and I was afraid I was going to mess up.
This workout is just floor aerobics and is considered a beginner/intermediate level. The workout consists of a 5 minute warm up, a 10 minute, 11 minute, and 9 minute dance routine, and a 5 minute cool off. The complete video is 40 minutes long.
This video was the easiest for me to follow. The moves are very easy to do and the pace is easy to follow. I like that anyone can do this video even if you are older, overweight, or haven't worked out in a long time. I think this one was also the most fun to do. Even if you aren't into country music or line dancing, I recommend trying out this workout for something different.
Finally, I tried the Xtend Barre Lean & Chiseled. This video is considered an intermediate/advanced level. This video is ideal if you are already active in sports and dance or already workout 3-4 times a week. The workout consists of a 5 minute warm up, 44 minutes of floor toning, and 6 minutes of stretching. The total video is 55 minutes. The full workout is very lengthy. I personally wouldn't do the full workout on a regular basis, but would pick and choose different segments of the workout.
This workout is certainly challenging, and is a really good workout if you are looking for a video to tone your muscles. Since, I am a beginner, I rather have an easier workout. Although, this video certainly wont disappoint if you are looking for a very effective workout.
The workout isn't really a dance video, but the workout incorporates ballet style movements. You need light dumbells and a ballet barre (can use a chair) to do this workout. I used 3 lb. weights, which worked well.
